Ambassador of Malaysia to Ukraine, H.E. Dato’ Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah and wife, Datin Roslina Ismail attended the New Year and Christmas festivities organised by “Orphans Are Our Children” charity organisation at Premier Palace Hotel in Kyiv on 9 January 2019.
130 children from eight orphanages in Kyiv and Zhytomyr oblasts as well as foster parents and adults who were once raised in orphanages and now have built their own family were celebrated at the joyous event. In addressing the guests, H.E. Ambassador reflected on the meaning of Christmas; that it is a time for love and sharing while the Christmas spirit is all about helping others. H.E. Ambassador also encouraged the children to not be disheartened and give up in times of challenge and difficulties.
