On Tuesday, 28 January 2025, Ambassador Dato' Azhar attended the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA) Summit 2025. The key themes of the event were youth empowerment, education and skill development. The opening ceremony was held at Jinnah Convention Centre, Islamabad by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The summit was attended by 12 member countries, Pakistani federal ministers, members of diplomatic corps, 113 new members of National Youth Council, students and academicians from across the country. A 3-member Malaysian delegation participated in the summit.
