On 20 May 2026, His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Zamruni Khalid, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Korea (ROK), paid a courtesy call on Dr Song Guipo, President of the Korea Foundation (KF), at the Foundation’s headquarters in Seoul. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Malaysia.
The courtesy call provided an excellent opportunity for both sides to exchange views on the current state of Malaysia – ROK relations and to explore potential avenues for deeper collaboration between Malaysian and Korean institutions. Discussions were held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the growing momentum in bilateral relations following the elevation of Malaysia – ROK ties to a Strategic Partnership during the Official Visit of Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim to Seoul in November 2024.
