On Friday, 1 December 2023, Ambassador Azhar chaired a meeting at the High Commission of Malaysia, Islamabad. The purpose of the meeting was to welcome Mr. Mohd Syafik Firdaus Bin Hasbullah, who assumed the duty as Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission (DHM). The meeting was attended by the Home-Based Staff (HBS) and Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) of the High Commission.
The meeting commenced with welcoming remarks by Ambassador Azhar. He welcomed the new DHM and reminded the staff members to work together as a team for the betterment of the High Commission. He stated that the core business of the High Commission was to promote the bilateral relations between Malaysia and Pakistan in all spectrums to greater heights. Ambassador Azhar informed that a series of high-level visits from Malaysia to Pakistan would be expected next year. He took the opportunity to remind the staff members to work harder and be committed to their duty. At the end of the meeting, light refreshments were served in honour of the new DHM.
