The Malaysian Association of Papua New Guinea (MAPNG) organized the 12th Annual MBC Charity Golf tournament, a fund raising drive which included the golf tournament on 12 October 2012, followed by golf charity dinner on 13 October 2012, prize presentation to golfers, auctions and raffles draw. A total of K700,000 was raised and will be donated to 16 charity organisations in PNG.
At the Presentation Dinner, the Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery who is the Patron of MAPNG delivered a speech and presented a cheque of K100,000 to Port Moresby General Hospital as the biggest recipient. The High Commissioner also presented gifts to the lucky draw winners.
