25th SESSION OF INFOFISH GOVERNING COUNCIL MEETING, 14 – 17 DECEMBER 2010, PORT MORESBY
On 14.12.2010, the Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Blanche Olbery attended the Official Opening of the 25th Session of INFOFISH Governing Council Meeting by the Hon. Ben Semri, MP, Minister of Fisheries. On the same evening she attended the Welcome Cocktail Reception hosted by the Hon. Minister of Fisheries. Both functions were held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Port Moresby.
Two officials from the Fisheries Development Authority of Malaysia i.e. Mr. Abdul Rahman Haji Ellis, Deputy Director General (Development) and Haji Mohari Mohamad Tamin, Director, Marketing Division represented Malaysia at the said meeting. The delegates from other member countries, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand attended the meeting. The observer was the representative from FAO of UN.
The 25th Session of INFOFISH Governing Council meeting will be held in Port Moresby from 14 – 15 December 2010 and followed by Field Trip to Lae, Morobe Province, 16 – 17 December 2010.
