The MATRADE team led by Mr. Jamaludin Hussain, Senior Director of Management Services Division of MATRADE undertook an exploratory visit to Port Moresby from 31 October – 2 November 2012. The visit was intended to identify potential services sectors in Papua New Guinea for further collaboration with Malaysia as well as part of MATRADE’s preparation to organise Malaysia Service Exhibition next year. Malaysia is one of the main industries and job providers in PNG with more than 600 companies registered with the Investment Promotion Authority of PNG since 1999. The MATRADE team paid a courtesy call on the Malaysian High Commissioner on 31 October 2012. At the end of their visit, they briefed the High Commissioner on 2 November2012 on the outcome of their visit. The Senior Director was accompanied by Mr. Md Shaiful Md Sharif, Trade Commissioner, MATRADE Sydney and Mr. Islahuddin Abu Hassan, Deputy Director for Special Project II of MSE.
