His Excellency Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe, High Commissioner of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Papua New Guinea made a courtesy call on H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, High Commissioner of Malaysia as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps on 1st May 2013 at the Malaysian High Commission.
The Sri Lanka High Commissioner is based in Canberra, Australia and is concurrently accredited to Papua New Guinea, was in Port Moresby to present his Letter of Credentials to the Governor General of Papua New Guinea, H.E. Grand Chief Sir Michael Ogio, GCL, GCMG, KSt.J.
The two heads of mission exchanged views on the current situation in Sri Lanka and the exciting elections in Malaysia. Also, on the bilateral relations between both Malaysia and Sri Lanka with Papua New Guinea.
