DINNER HOSTED FOR RHB GROUP AND VANIMO JAYA PNG LTD, 25 FEBRUARY 2011
The High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea, hosted a dinner at the Official Residence on Friday, 25 February 2011. It was attended by the Senior Executives of the Rimbunan Hijau Group of Companies in Port Moresby and family and Vanimo Jaya PNG Ltd. The HBS of the High Commission of Malaysia and family were also present. It was to foster greater working relations between the High Commission and Rimbunan Hijau in Port Moresby. Delicious Malaysian cuisine - thosai, dhalca, chicken curry, chicken rendang, ikan masin, sweet sour fish, mixed vegetable, salad, papadum, bingka labu, kuih lompang, agar-agar, ice cream with cocktail, fruits, tea and coffee were served at the dinner. It was interesting to note that some Malaysians do not know and have never tasted ‘thosai’ before. At least they got to taste it in PNG.
