FAREWELL CALL BY THE HIGH COMMISSIONER OF SOLOMON ISLANDS, HIS EXCELLENCY BERNARD BATA’ANISIA ON THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER, 6 MAY 2011
H.E. Bernard Bata’anisia, High Commissioner of Solomon Islands who is also the Dean of Diplomatic Corps, paid a farewell call on H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Papua New Guinea, at the Chancery on May 6, 2011.
The Solomon Islands High Commissioner will be reassigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of Solomon Islands after spending 6 years in PNG.
During the call, H.E. Bata’anisia gave an update of the current political situation in his country as well as highlighted his government interests to pursue the South-South cooperation with Malaysia. The two High Commissioners also exchanged information and views on bilateral matters.
As a token of remembrance, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery presented a farewell gift to H.E. Bata’anisia.
The Counsellor of the High Commission, Mr. Nur Azman Abdul Rahim, was also present during the call.
