HE Datin Seri Blanchle Olbery, High Commissioner of Malaysia hosted the Diplomatic Luncheon on 19 June 2013 at Dynasty Seafood restaurant in Vision City. The luncheon was also HE’s farewell meeting with the Diplomatic Corps before the end of her tour of duty in Papua New Guinea, with concurrent accreditation to Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, at the end of this month. The luncheon was also dedicated to Ambassador Lee Whie-jin, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea who will end his term in July.
HE Malaysian High Commissioner has relinquished her position as the Dean of Diplomatic Corps and handed over the deanship to Ambassador Alan Waquet of France during the luncheon. The event was well attended by members of Diplomatic Corps and agencies. Apart from Ambassador Waquet, Ambassador Lee and I, the lunch was also joined by the High Commissioners of Australia, British, New Zealand and Solomon Islands; Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China; Head of EU delegation; Resident Coordinator of UNDP; ADB Country Director; as well as the deputies from Japan, US, Fiji and Indonesia.
