Her Excellency Datin Blanche Olbery, High Commissioner of Malaysia to PNG was invited as a guest of honour to the Muslim Festival Eid-ul-Fitr organised by the Muslim Community in Port Moresby.
The Festival was held on Sunday, 20th September 2009 after the Aidilfitri prayers at the Islamic Centre in Hohola, Port Moresby. According to the organiser, the Festival is the annual event and would be held on the first day of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
In her speech, Her Excellency Datin Blanche expressed her appreciation to the organiser for the invitation and emphasised that the High Commission of Malaysia would continue its support to the centre.
The Festival was attended by almost 300 Muslims.
