National Day function

On 23rd September 2006, the High Commission of Malaysia has successfully organized the celebration of Malaysia?s 49^th Independence Day at Grand Palace Restaurant, Port Moresby. The Malaysian High Commission Charge d? Affaires, Mr. Zainal Izran Zahari hosted the function. Nearly 200 people attended the function including Government Ministers, foreign dignitaries and Malaysians. The Government of Papua New Guinea was represented by Mr. John Yamin, Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs for the toasting event. Malaysian delight namely karipap, kuih lapis, popiah, sate was served during the function. The two-hours function was well covered by the local media.
