NOTICE TO ALL MALAYSIANS RESIDING IN PORT MORESBY, PAPUA NEW GUINEA

The High Commission of Malaysia has been informed that a large scale riot has broken out in Koki, Port Moresby this morning. Despite the riot being broken up by the police the protesters continue to restart it in a new location running the police round in circles. It is reported that the Police managed to disperse the crowd from making the illegal gathering or anti protest marching.

At the moment, situation in the city is back to normal. However, the High Commission would like to reitrate Malaysians to remain vigilant and take extra cautions as well as continue to restict their movement.

The High Commission of Malaysia will continue to monitor the situation closely.
