RAMADHAN BUFFET DINNER HOSTED BY THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER, 13 AUGUST 2011
The Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery hosted a Ramadhan Buffet Dinner at the Official Residence in Port Moresby. Malaysian delicacies: curry puff, kuih bijan, pisang goreng, ondeh-ondeh, kuih lapis, kuih ketayap, kuih pulut kukus dengan kaya and bingka tepung and orange cordial drinks were served for breaking of fast for the Muslims guests. The Malaysian cuisines served were nasi tomato, basmati rice, dhall, papadum, ayam masak merah, rendang ayam, ikan panggang, ikan masak kicap, sweet sour prawns, stirred fried mixed vegetable, acar pineapple with cucumber and roti jala with chicken curry. All HBS together with their families, Mr. Ivan Lu, Executive Director, Rimbunan Hijau (PNG) Ltd., Mr. Chew Pang Heng, General Manager of Vanimo Jaya Ltd. and his his wife as well as YBhg. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir, Executive Chairman, Sazean Group of Companies who was in Port Moresby for business, were invited to breakfast and to a dinner.
The dinner ended with a birthday cake cutting for the High Commissioner’s 14-year old daughter which falls on the same day.
