On 9 December 2010, the High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Blanche Olbery hosted a dinner at Grand Palace Restaurant in honour of the Malaysian delegation to the 2nd Joint Commission Meeting on Information Technology (ICT) Malaysia – Papua New Guinea (JC-ICT Malaysia – Papua New Guinea in Kokopo from 6 – 9 December 2010.
The dinner was attended by the Malaysian delegation led by YBhg. Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Khatijah Mohd Yusoff, Deputy Secretary General, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), 8 government officials and 3 officials from the Malaysian private sector.
Three officials from the Papua New Guinean delegation - the Department of Communication & Information (DCI) Papua New Guinea i.e. Mr. Henao Iduhu, Secretary (Head of Delegation), Mr. Kora Nou, Deputy Secretary (Policy) and Mr. Paulias Korni (Communication) were present at the dinner.
Five other consultants and experts in IT from the Malaysian companies and officials from the High Commission of Malaysia were also present.
The High Commissioner of Malaysia, H.E. Datin Blanche Olbery gave a short speech followed by the head of Malaysian delegation and the head of the Papua New Guinean delegation as well as the head of the consultants, Mr. Murali Nair.
The head of the Malaysian delegation presented an appreciation momento to the High Commissioner of Malaysia and the Counsellor followed by a momento from the Papua New Guinea side to Dato’ Madinah Mohamad, Secretary General of MOSTI.
