THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER ATTENDED THE MEMORIAL SERVICE AND FOLLOWED BY A COCKTAIL RECEPTION IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 30TH REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA, 23 JULY 2011
The Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery attended the Memorial Service and a Cocktail Reception in commemoration of the 30th Remembrance Day Parade of Papua New Guinea on Saturday, 23 July 2011, at the invitation of the Governor General of Papua New Guinea, His Excellency Grand Chief Sir Michael Ogio, GCL GCMG KStJ.
At the Memorial Service in the morning, the Malaysian High Commissioner joined the PNG leaders, dignitaries, other heads and representatives of the diplomatic corps in the wreath laying ceremony at the Remembrance Park, Ela Beach. Thereafter she attended a Cocktail Reception hosted by the Governor General of Papua New Guinea.
