THE HIGH COMMISSIONER OF MALAYSIA HOSTED A DINNER TO BID FAREWELL TO THE DEAN OF DIPLOMATIC CORPS ON 1 DECEMBER 2011
On 1 December 2011, the Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, hosted an informal dinner to bid farewell to H.E. Archbishop Francisco Montecillo Padilla, Ambassador/Nuncio, Apostolic Nunciature, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps PNG, at her official residence. The Ambassadors of France and Indonesia, High Commissioner of India and their spouses attended the dinner.
The guests were feted to a truly Malaysian cuisines of Beef Rendang, Ayam Masak Merah, Lamb Kurma, Dhall, Nasi Tomato, Stir-fried Vegetable, Salad and papadum with Strawberries Vanila Ice-cream for dessert.
At the dinner, the outgoing Dean of the Diplomatic Corps handed over the correspondences file and brief as well as update for the H.E. the Malaysian High Commissioner, the New Dean. On behalf of the diplomatic corps PNG the Malaysian High Commissioner thanked him for his term as the Dean and wished him well in his new position in Tanzania.
