THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER AT THE CHEQUE PRESENTATION CEREMONY TO THE CARITAS TECHNICAL SECONDARY SCHOOL ON 1 MARCH 2012
The Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, who is also the Patron of the Malaysian Association of Papua New Guinea (MAPNG) together with Mr. Ivan Lu, Chairman of the Organising Committee of the MBC Charity Golf 2011, MAPNG’S President and Committee Member Mr. Nathaniel Ho and Mr. Kee Lim, presented the cheque donation of K50,000 to the Caritas Technical Secondary School and Learning Centre on 1 March 2012. The money was part of the amount raised at the Malaysia Business Council Charity Golf Challenge in 2011. The presentation of donation was one of the nine presentations organized by MAPNG for 2012.
The School director, Sister Florentina Choe thanked MAPNG for the donation and informed the guests how the donations received were spent for the schools. This time the donation will be used to build 4 classrooms for the learning centre and staff houses for the secondary school.
The local newspapers The National dated 2 March 2012 & Post Courier dated 7 March 2012 carried the news report entitle “Malaysians aid Caritas” “Malaysians give K30,000 to Caritas children” respectively.
