THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER AT THE CHEQUE PRESENTATION FOR THE OPERATION OPEN HEART IN PORT MORESBY GENERAL HOSPITAL ON 4 AUGUST 2011
The Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, who is also the Patron of the Malaysian Association of Papua New Guinea (MAPNG) was present at the cheque presentation ceremony for the Operation Open Heart at the Port Moresby General Hospital on 4 August 2011.
The Committee Members of MAPNG led by the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the MBC Charity Golf, Mr. Ivan Lu, the President of MAPNG, Mr. Chew Pang Heng and 3 other committee members were present at the said ceremony.
A sum of Kina 40,000 was donated by the MAPNG towards the noble cause of open heart surgery conducted by a medical team from Australia who has been doing it for the last 17 years. It was part of the fund raised at the Malaysian Association of Papua New Guinea MBC Charity Golf 2011 and Presentation Night/Thank you dinner held on 22 and 23 July 2011 respectively.
