THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER AT THE FAREWELL DINNER OF THE OUTGOING SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TRADE, 11 FEBRUARY 2012
The Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, who is also the Dean of Diplomatic Corps attended the farewell dinner of the Outgoing Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Ambassador Michael Maue, OBE and his wife, Madam Merewalesi Seru at the Royal Papua Yacht Club.
Welcome remarks by the Chief of Protocol, followed by remarks by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, remarks by Deputy Secretary (Policy) DFAT and remarks by Ambassador Michael Maue. A gift was presented to Amb. Maue by the Deputy Secretary (Operations).
The guests were entertained to music by the P2 UIF Band. Also present were Hon. Don Poyle, MP, Minister for Finance and Treasury, Mrs. Polye, Hon. Ano Pala, CMG, MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Mrs. Karo Pala, all the head of missions of the diplomatic corps, officials and staff of DFAT.
