THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER ATTENDED A WELCOME RECEPTION FOR THE PACIFIC WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT POLICY DIALOGUE, HOSTED BY THE AMBASSADOR OF UNITED STATES AND MADAM, 30 MAY 2011
On 30 May 2011, at the invitation of the Ambassador of United States, H.E. Mr. Teddy B Taylor and Madam, the Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Blanche Olbery attended a Welcome Reception for the Pacific Women’s Empowerment Policy Dialogue.
The US Ambassador At-large for Global Women’s issues H.E. Ms. Melanee Verveer who spoke at the Dialogue was the guest-of-honour. The reception was attended by the Minister for Community Development Hon. Dame Carol Kidu, diplomats from the diplomatic and international organizations community in Port Moresby; as well as the Papua New Guinean officials from both government and private sectors; and all the Pacific women delegation comprising of two (2) delegates from each country in the Pacific region.
