THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER ATTENDED THE THANK-YOU AND PRESENTATION DINNER ON THE OCCASION OF THE 11TH ANNUAL MBC CHARITY GOLF, ORGANISED BY THE MALAYSIAN ASSOCIATION OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA (MAPNG), 23 JULY 2011
The 11th Annual MBC Charity Golf, fund raising drive which included the MBC Charity Golf Day on 22 July 2011, raffles draw and presentation dinner and entertainment on 23 July 2011 was organized by the MAPNG. A total of K650,000 was raised by the Malaysian Association of Papua New Guinea (MAPNG) and it will be donated to 18 charities and institutions in PNG.
The Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery attended the Thank-you and Presentation Dinner. She delivered a speech, picked the lucky draw, presentation of gifts to lucky draws and the first prize being a car, presented gifts to lucky draw winners and also the presentation of a mock cheque to Port Moresby General Hospital CEO and Operation Open Heart representative, at the dinner.
The Malaysian High Commission golf team was represented by Datuk S. Subrayan and Mr. Paramasivam Muthusamy, who flew in all the way from Kuala Lumpur to play for the High Commission team together with Mr. Ling Hee Chuo. The team was placed 26th among the 40 teams from the corporate sector.
