THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER HOSTED THE HEADS OF MISSION LUNCHEON, 28 JULY 2011
The Malaysian High Commissioner, H.E. Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, hosted the Heads of Mission Luncheon on 28 July 2011, at the Private Room of the Dynasty Seafood Restaurant, Vision City Mega Mall. Malaysian cuisines and desserts were served at the luncheon.
All the Heads of Mission of the Diplomatic Corps (Apostolic Nunciature, Australia, British, China, Fiji, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, New Zealand and Philippines and Representatives of the International Organisations (UNPF, UNCF, UNHCR, WHO, ADB), except the Solomon Islands, the Delegation of the EU to PNG, UNDP and WHO, were represented by the Acting Heads or Acting Representatives. The Guest-of-Honour was Hon. Ano Pala CMG, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Papua New Guinea. The First Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Veari Maha also attended the luncheon.
The luncheon began with the Welcoming Remarks by the Hostess, the Malaysian High Commissioner, followed by remarks of the Dean of Diplomatic Corps, a short speech by the Guest-of-Honour, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Malaysian High Commissioner presented a gift to the Guest-of-Honour before his departure and was followed by discussions of other matters by the Diplomatic Corps.
