VISIT OF THE MALAYSIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER TO PAPUA NEW GUINEA TO PNG LNG PLANT SITE (ESSO HIGHLAND LTD), 18 MARCH 2011
On 18 March 2011, through the initiation of our High Commissioner Her Excellency Datin Seri Blanche Olbery, the PNG LNG Plant site visit was organized by Esso Highlands Ltd of Exxon Mobile. Our High Commissioner had then initiated her counterparts from New Zealand, Indonesia, EU, Britain and France to come along to the first visit to the LNG plant site by the Diplomatic Community took place and everyone thanked our High Commissioner for her initiation. She was also accompanied by our Head of Chancery and Third Secretary.
They had a fully conducted tour of the Portion 152 area and the Port Moresby LNG Construction Center together with Port Moresby Tech College which is headed by Mr. Eddie Leong, the Construction Support Advisor of Exxon Mobile who is a Malaysian working with Exxon Mobile for 30 years. It was a very informative and educational tour and the Radio FM 100 news channel thereafter interviewed our High Commissioner about the LNG Plant site visit.
