Telekom Malaysia Bhd. made a working visit to Papua New Guinea from 13-16 October 2009. The working visit was organised in connection with the MOU of ICT between Malaysia-PNG which was signed by both countries on 24 March 2009.
Telekom Malaysia delegation was led by Mr. Fazlur Rahman Zainuddin, Vice President of Group Business Development.
H.E Datin Blanche Olbery, High Commissioner of Malaysia hosted a welcoming dinner for the Telekom Malaysia delegation on 13 October 2009 at Grand Palace Restaurant in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
In her welcoming speech, H.E Datin Blanche expressed her hope that more Malaysian GLCs will explore prospects of participating in the economic growth of Papua New Guinea especially in relation to the vast opportunities in Papua New Guinea's LNG sector. The High Commissioner said that Malaysian High Commission will continue to assist in providing information on trade and investment opportunities to Malaysian investors.
