The Ministry of Interior (MOI) of the State of Qatar, with the cooperation of Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani Foundation and Malaysian Association of Qatar (MAQ) organized a Grand Iftar on Saturday, 6th August 2011.
The Grand Iftar was open to all Malaysian residing in Qatar. Every year, MOI and Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani Foundation will select a few communities in Qatar to participate in the Grand Iftar. Including this year, Malaysia has always in the list since the first Grand Iftar three years ago.
The event starts with the Maghrib Prayer and followed by road awareness talk given by MOI. His Excellency Amb. Ahmad Jazri bin Johar delivered his speech and encouraged Malaysian to participate in local event and to maintain Malaysia’s high reputation.
