Doha: Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco), a subsidiary of Industries Qatar, announced the opening of a new representative office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In a statement posted on Qatar Exchange website yesterday, Qapco said that the opening of the office was in pursuit of its objective to be recognised as one of leading international petrochemical suppliers.

Qapco has been determined to structure one of the most competent global marketing network ever established by any petrochemical supplier to complement and support Qapco’s ambitious expansion plans.

The inauguration of Qapco’s Malaysia office is a continuation of the company’s quest to preserve its positioning as the leading exporter of LDPE in the Middle East and to translate the strategic importance of the South East Asia market to Qapco.

Recently, Qapco opened a new representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is worth mentioning that at the moment, Qapco’s global marketing network consists of 26 self operated offices and five regional warehouses. The offices are: Four in China (Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou), four in India (Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai & Ahmadabad), two in Pakistan (Karachi, Lahore), one in each Egypt, Syria, UAE, Lebanon, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Jordan, Yemen, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Philippines.
