Qatar's Local News Coverage on the State Visit by H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar and H.H. Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Miss

Kuala Lumpur, May 20 (QNA) - An official round of talks was held Wednesday morning between H.H. the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamed Najib bin Abdul Razak.

The talks were attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying H.H. the Emir. On the Malaysian side, the talks were attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Anifah Aman, Minister of Federal Territories Raja Zainal Abidin, Minister of International Trade and Industry Mustapa bin Mohamed, Malaysian Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed Shahrul Ikram and a number of officials.

Scopes of cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing them; as well as a number of issues of mutual concern were discussed during the talks. Following the talks, H.H. the Emir and the Malaysian Prime Minister attended the signing of a trade cooperation agreement between the governments of Qatar and Malaysia. The agreement was signed by Qatar''s Minister of International Cooperation H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad al-Attiyah and Malaysian Minister of International Trade and Industry Mustapa bin Mohamed. (QNA)
