Qatar's Local News Coverage on the State Visit by H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar and H.H. Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-z

: HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH Sheikha Mozah Nasser al-Misnad yesterday attended the dinner banquet hosted by Malaysian King Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin and Queen Nur Zahirah in honour of Their Highnesses and the accompanying delegation.

During the banquet, the Malaysian King delivered a speech in which he welcomed the Emir and Sheikha Mozah.
The Malaysian King noted that the Emir and Sheikha Mozah’s visit to Malaysia reaffirms the deep bilateral ties.
King Zainal Abidin expressed hope that the visit would further enhance the relations between the two countries, mainly in the economic domain.

For his part, the Emir expressed pleasure over the visit to Malaysia which he said reflects the desire to strengthen the existing bilateral relations. The Emir noted the development of relations between the two countries in the recent years and expressed hope that relations will witness further growth in the coming years. The Emir praised the comprehensive development which Malaysia has accomplished thanks to the hard efforts of its people.

The dinner banquet was attended by Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his wife, a number of Malaysian ministers and top officials and the GCC ambassadors accredited to Malaysia. 
Earlier yesterday the Emir and Sheikha Mozah were accorded a red-carpet reception on the occasion of their visit to Malaysia. The reception ceremonies took place at the Parliament of Malaysia, where King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Queen Tuanku Nur Zahirah were on hand to welcome Their Highnesses.
