The Malaysian Association of Qatar (MAQ) together with Malaysian Diplomatic Wives Association (PERWAKILAN) organized the Bazaar Ramadhan twice this year. With the cooperation of Hyatt Plaza, the events took place on 5th and 12th August 2011.
The bazaar which held at the Hyatt Plaza Food court attracted a large number of visitors, not only from Malaysia. The bazaar was similar to what Malaysia has back there every day during Ramadhan.
Almost 20 stalls featured for this year bazaar with 90 percent of it selling food ingredients and delicacies. Among the items they offered were food, drinks, condiments and ingredients. The cooked food available at the stalls included Nasi Lemak (coconut rice), Satay (marinated skewered beef or chicken) Ayam Percik (grilled chicken), Keropok Lekor (fish cracker), Penang Laksa ( fish noodles) and Murtabak (savoury pancakes).
