The agreement for Bringing Peace to Afghanistan was signed in Doha, Qatar, by US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad -- the chief US negotiator in the talks with the Taliban -- and Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar -- the Taliban's chief negotiator at 1600 hrs today. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo witnessed the signing.
Malaysia was represented by CDA Mr. Mohamad Shahir Sabarudin. Mr Mohamad Shahir took the opportunity to meet with Her Excellency Lolwah Al Kater, Assistant Foreign Minister of Qatar, HE Retno Marsudi, Foreign Minister of Indonesia and few other dignitaries during the event.
