Malaysian performers entertaining the crowd at Hyatt Plaza
HYATT Plaza hosted a Malaysian tourism road show at the mall?s fashion concourse as the venue took in Malaysian flavour with hand-woven batiks, bunga manga and other decorative accessories.
Shoppers and other guests were enthralled with the cultural performances called Colours of Malaysia, displaying the culture of the country through music and dance. Zapin, Joget and Inang were some of the dances presented.
A documentary film indicating the growth and development of Malaysia was also screened.
Malaysian Tourism director general Dato Mirza Mohamed Taiyab, speaking on the occasion, said his country was ?overwhelmed with the rapidly increasing numbers of travellers from Qatar to Malaysia?.
Malaysian Ambassador Dato Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari was present.
Meanwhile, the International Potluck Ladies Group, consisting of 300 members from 63 countries, has held its meeting at the mall, for the first time.
