The Hon. Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman paid a Special Mission Visit to Qatar on 21-24 August 2014. The purpose of the visit was part of Malaysia’s effort to lobby for its candidature as the Non-Permanent Members of the United Nations Security Council 2015-2016.
During the visit, The Hon. Dato’ Sri Anifah Aman met with his Qatari counterpart H.E. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. The Hon. Minister also met with H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar and Mr. Hassan Al-Thawadi, Secretary General of Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the Committee responsible for Qatar’s preparation towards the 2022 World Cup.
