Consul General of Malaysia in Jeddah, Mr. Roslan Sharif, accompanied by several Consulate’s officials, visited the King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) on 6 May 2025. The visit aimed to explore development opportunities and potential collaborations between Malaysian and Saudi companies.
Mr. Roslan Sharif met with Mr. Mazen Zaki Alsaleh, Vice Secretary General for Economic Cities' Affairs, to discuss potential business opportunities for Malaysian companies in KAEC's various zones, including the King Abdullah Port, Industrial Valley, and Central Business District.
Prior to the discussion sessions, Mr. Roslan Sharif has been brought to a site-visit to several development areas throughout the economic zone. The visit also included a tour of the Johnson Controls Arabia (JCA) manufacturing facility, which specializes in innovative and eco-friendly building solutions. Some of the well-known projects by JCA includes the Two Holy Mosques, Clock Tower, and King Abdulaziz International Airport, among others.
KAEC, a 173-square-kilometer mega project, offers a range of industrial, commercial, residential, and recreational opportunities, showcasing Saudi Arabia's commitment to economic diversification and sustainable urban development. With its strategic location on the Red Sea coast, KAEC offers a unique opportunity for Malaysian companies to expand their presence in the Middle East and North Africa region.
