The Consulate General of Malaysia in Jeddah and Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education organised an Education Malaysia Exhibition from 23 to 24 April 2012 in Jeddah. The exhibition which was held at the Malaysian Consulate was participated by 24 renowned higher education institutions and universities from Malaysia.
The inaugural event was aimed to highlight the prestige and quality of Malaysian education as the Centre of Education Excellence of the region and to provide an opportunity to Saudi students and expatriates living in Saudi Arabia to choose the country as a destination for pursuing higher studies. Currently there are about 100,000 foreign students of 150 nationalities in Malaysia including 3,000 students from Saudi with the numbers are increasing. Malaysian higher education offers a wide range of full-time, part-time and long-distance learning programmes that cover all aspects of education, learning and profesessional development.
Consul General of Malaysia in Jeddah, Mr. Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak while talking to press at the Consulate stated that studying in Malaysia offers international students more than academic achievements and a globally recognized qualification. It is a once-in-a lifetime experience through which students can develop independence, maturity, an understanding of other cultures, and the ability to see issues from different perspectives. “Excellent infrastructure, safety, political and economic stability are all good reasons why Malaysia is a great place to study and broaden your knowledge”, said the Consul General.
Visitors to the exhibition was met by representatives of participating universities and were able to discuss and clarify all matters related to higher education on the spot besides enjoying a wide selection of mouthwatering Malaysian cuisines which was also showcased during the event. The inaugural exhibition had recorded over 3,000 visitors mainly Saudis students which are eager to pursue their higher studies in Malaysia Truly Asia!
