The Consul General of Malaysia in Jeddah and Madam Aniza Khalid hosted a Hari Raya Open House gathering on 30 August 2011 at Rumah Malaysia, Jeddah. More than 100 Malaysians including students and professionals residing in Jeddah and Makkah attended the celebration. During the event, a live teleconference with YAB Prime Minister and wife were held where 31 invitees i.e. students, professionals and home based staff interacted and exchange raya and merdeka greetings.
All present then were treated to an authentic Hari Raya Cuisines including Nasi Impit, Rendang Daging, Mee Hoon Goreng, Kuah Kacang, Lodeh, Nasi Minyak, Ayam Masak Merah and varieties of Kueh Raya. The programme provided a good opportunity to all to meet and enjoy an important religious festival of Malaysia in Jeddah and also to interact with nearly arrived Consul General Mohd Khalid and family in Jeddah.
