Hujjaj First Flight to Jeddah

 JEDDAH — The inaugural Haj flight from Malaysia, carrying 450 pilgrims, arrived at Haj Terminal, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on Wednesday morning, 10 September 2014.

 

They were received by Consul General of Malaysia in Jeddah, Mr. Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak and spouse, Madam Aniza Khalid along with Mr. Redhuan Sabaruddin, Haj Consul and officers from the Consulate.

 

Consul General was very happy to welcome all the pilgrims in Jeddah as being the first flight KT34 via Saudia SV5215. He advised all pilgrims to drink fluids and keep in good health so they are able to complete their Haj rituals. He also advised them
to protect Malaysia’s good name and 
image by adhering to all the rules and regulations set out by the Saudi Arabian government. He added that the Saudi Government had great respect for Malaysian pilgrims because of their high discipline in addition to being well equip and knowledgeable on Haj rituals.

 

“Mohd Khalid said 22,320 Malaysian pilgrims traveling on 64 flights would perform Haj this year, which marked a 20 percent reduction from last year’. He also praised the constant efforts by the Government of Malaysia through Tabung Haji (Haj Fund Board) improving its services and facilities for Malaysian Haj pilgrims which includes transportation, accommodation, health and welfare. He said the Consulate works closely with Tabung Haji and Haj organizers to ensure pilgrims “attain a complete Haj’ and safely return to their beloved country.
