JEDDAH, July 2 (Bernama) -- The Raja Muda of Perlis has urged Malaysian students studying abroad to keep on the right path to protect Malaysia's ties with the host countries.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra ibni Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail said as their actions would influence foreign opinion of Malaysia, they should act as responsible Malaysian citizens and study hard for their own future.
He said Malaysian students should fortified their faith and moral character as they came from a harmonious Islamic country.
"Be grateful and never violate any regulation in the host country you are studying," he said when addressing Malaysian students at the 'Liqa Mawaddah' ceremony organised by the Perlis Council of Islamic Affairs and Malay Customs at the Malaysian Consulate here today.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin urged the students to protect Malaysia's image by not indulging in extreme political activities or conducting business illegally as they would not only affect their own future but also create a negative perception of Malaysia.
He also hoped they would not be influenced by any deviants teaching which contradicted the Quran and Sunnah.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is accompanied by the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, arrived here today for a two-day working visit to Jeddah.
At the event, Perlis mufti Datuk Mursyid Diraja Dr Juanda Jaya and Perlis Baitulmal manager Mohd Nazim Mohd Noor gave talks.
Consul General of Malaysia in Jeddah Mohd Khalid Abdul Razak was present.
