The Consul General, Mr. Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak hosted and chaired the monthly MBC meeting at the Consulate on 6 February 2013. The well attended meeting was also co-chaired by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Azmi Omar, Vice Chairman (I) and Mr. Amran Yem, Trade Commissioner MATRADE Jeddah. The meeting deliberated on its monthly agenda i.e. business visits, new business and investments opportunities and also latest developments of Malaysia. As to create a better camaraderie and networking among its members, a futsal match was held between the Consulate and MBC members which was followed by a dinner hosted by the Consul General.
MBC is a non-profit organization based in Jeddah which was formed in 2009 to bring together Malaysian, Saudi professionals and entrepreneurs to enhance business relationship of the two countries. MBC has evolved into a business focus group with the objective of generating business opportunities for its members. MBC thus far had successfully organized events during the visits by the Prime Minister, ministers and senior officials of the Malaysian Government where dialogues on the strategic visioning of Malaysia-Saudi business and Governmental bilateral relationship had taken place.
