The 7th Asian Film Festival concluded on 31 March 2014 with a mouthwatering array of the finest dishes from 13 member-countries of the Asian Consul Generals Club (ACGC). There were two to three traditional dishes from the 13 countries, resulting in a heady mix of colours and smells. More than 1,000 invited guests attended the food fest event showcasing the rich Asian countries flavor.
Consulate General Malaysia participated at the Food Fest by showcasing their traditional cuisines such as roti jala with chicken curry; ice shaved mix or ABC, sweet desserts i.e. kuih seri muka and kuih bakar kemboja. Many food lovers turned up at the Malaysian stall to taste and savour the all-time favourite i.e. ABC. As stated by Consul General Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak, `Asian food festival was the best opportunity to present Malaysia’s culture, food and hospitality, in addition for communities to come together and further strengthen ties between countries’.
