MALAYSIAN BUSINESS COUNCIL FORMED IN JEDDAH

A gathering of Malaysian professionals on Friday 9 January 2009, chaired by the Consul General of Malaysia in Jeddah saw the formation of a new association named the Malaysian Business Council (MBC).

 

The MBC was formed to promote trade, finance and industry between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia and aim to support business interests by facilitating commercial and social networking. The inaugural meeting co-chaired by Matrade Trade Commissioner Amran Yem and Dato’ Dr.Ghazali M.Noor from IDB also witnessed the election of MBC councillors and advisors to spearhead the overall running and activities of the association.

 

MBC is a voluntary association under the patronage of the Consulate General of Malaysia, Jeddah.  It is open to all Malaysians wishing to contribute towards development of Malaysian business interests in the country whilst benefiting through close networking amongst Malaysian professionals as well as with the international and Saudi community.

 

The MBC plans to meet every last Friday of the month at the Consulate General of Malaysia in Al-Mualifin Street, Al-Rihab District 2, Jeddah.
