MOBILITY VISIT BY UNIVERSITY TUN HUSSEIN ONN (UTHM) TO SAUDI ARABIA

The Consulate General of Malaysia, Jeddah received a group of 54 students and staffs from University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) on 26 July 2011.  The group was on a ten days mobility visit to Saudi Arabia i.e. to Madinah, Mekah and Jeddah as to venture possible collaboration for its students industrial attachments and staffs exchange programmes with reputed universities in Saudi Arabia.

 

 

                    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

YB Dato' Hamzah Zainuddin, Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities and H.E. Prof. Datuk Syed Omar Al-Saggaf, Ambassador of Malaysia to KSA whom happen to be at the Consulate also participated in the event and jointly welcomed the group with Mr. Mohd Khalid Abdul Razak, Consul General of Malaysia in Jeddah.  The Consul General then conducted a short briefing on the work done by the Consulate touching briefly on the role and functions of the Consulate.  Following this, the Ambassador and YB Deputy Minister seized the opportunity to also share their thoughts on both countries bilateral and trade relations also on political developments back home with the visiting group.

 

  

           

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

Later, the Consul General hosted a lunch in honour of the UTHM group which also provided a golden opportunity for the young aspiring students to mingle and openly interact with the VVIPs and all Consulate officers and staffs.  The program was a manifestation of the Consulate to bring itself closer to the people consistent with its public diplomacy initiative.
