On 24 December 2025 in Madinah Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, Chairman of the Energy Commission Malaysia and Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, is in Madinah. He met with Mohammad A. Abunayyan, Chairman of ACWA Power, one of the world’s leading energy companies based in Saudi Arabia. Many matters were discussed for mutual benefit, in line with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).
