The Embassy of Malaysia in Khartoum has successfully co-organised the 1 Malaysia Golf Challenge together with Malaysia-Sudan Golf Association (MSGA) on Saturday, 8 October 2011 at Al Monimiya Golf Course in Soba, 20 kilometres from Khartoum. Seventeen golfers, mostly professionals working with Petronas Sudan participated in this first ever tournament. Prize giving ceremony and luncheon was held immediately after the tournament at a renowned Malaysian-operated restaurant in Khartoum named Overseas Restaurant. The first champion for the first 1 Malaysia Golf Challenge was Mr Sulaiman Mohd Ali, the Acting Chairman and Head of Corporate Affairs of Petronas Sudan. Congratulations to the champion and all participants.
