AMBASSADOR OF MALAYSIA MET WITH DR. ISMAT MUSTAFA YOUSIF, THE ACTING UNDER-SECRETARY OF THE FEDERAL MINISTRY OF HEALTH SUDAN
On Sunday, 27 March 2022, H.E. Mohamad Razdan Jamil, Ambassador of Malaysia, accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Rafeeq Mohd Razali, Third Secretary, met with Dr. Ismat Mustafa Yousif, the Acting Under-Secretary FMoH Sudan. He was accompanied by Dr. Hanadi Haydar Hassan, Director General of Global Health FMoH Sudan, Dr. Ismael Aladani, Head of Expanded Programme FMoH Sudan, Dr. Atika Abd Elsalam Ahmed Algozoli, Bilateral Relation Officer FMoH Sudan and Mr. Abdallah Hamad, COVID-19 Coordinator FMoH Sudan. A representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sudan, Dr. Bakhit Ismail Dahya, was also in attendance.
The purpose of the meeting was to get an update on Malaysia's desire to send the vaccination to Sudan. The discussion also centred on getting recognition of Malaysia’s COVID-19 vaccination certificate and possible of signing an MoU for Health Cooperation between Sudan-Malaysia.
The meeting proved to be significant and have provided a fresh impetus towards enhancing bilateral cooperation and laying down a solid foundation for Malaysia-Sudan relations in health exchanges.
