Education Malaysia Exposition was held at the Lebdah A Hall, Corinthia Hotel in Khartoum Sudan from 6 to 7 July 2013. It was held from 2pm to 8pm. 20 top Malaysian Universities and Colleges were represented in the exposition. Amongst others are Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, International Islamic University Malaysia, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, MAHSA University, Universiti Pahang Malaysia, Management and Science University, Infrastructure University, HELP University, Erican College and KBU International College. There were quite number of Sudanese showing up at the Expo and it shows that there are many Sudanese who are keen to study in Malaysia. According to the Embassy of Sudan in Malaysia, as of 2012, there were some 4,000 Sudanese students studying in Malaysia.
Ambassador of Malaysia to Sudan, His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Ashri Muda made a visit to the Expo and was very happy with the respond from the locals. This Expo provided an opportunity for the Sudanese students and their parents to get in touch closely with the Malaysian Universities and Colleges.
