On 18 May 2014, His Excellency Dato’ Mohd Ashri Muda, Ambassador of Malaysia to Sudan, met Dr. Dirdeiry Mohamed Ahmed, Head of Foreign Relations Sector of National Congress Party (NCP) at the NCP headquarters. Both shared and discussed the good and strong relations that Malaysia and Sudan has and would like to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations including through cooperation between ruling political parties of both countries. Dr Dirdeiry thanked Ambassador for the support from Malaysia especially in providing scholarships for Sudanese Government Officials and students to attend short courses and further study in Malaysia. He added that Sudan always look up to Malaysia as a developed, successful and modern Islamic country. Dr. Dirdeiry also welcomed the support of Malaysia on the National Dialogue that has been initiated by the Government of the Republic of Sudan to achieve peace and stability in Sudan.
