REMINDER:
- Applicants are advised to read the instructions carefully before fill up the form.
- All applications must be in BLOCK LETTERS (Capital Letters) written clearly and neatly.
- Applications that are not clear without Block Letters will not be accepted/processed. This will delay the entire application.
- Therefore, please ensure the forms are filled up carefully and clearly in BLACK INK.
- We will notify the applicants once the document ready to be collected or any other further development regarding the status of the application.
REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE FOR NON-MUSLIMS:
Conditions of Application
- Both or either party is a Malaysian citizen;
- Has obtained a Senegalese marriage certificate from the authority (translated into English and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Notary Public);
- Application form (JPN.KC 06) cannot be downloaded. It is available at the Consular Section of the Embassy;
- Submission of application:
Monday – Friday : 9.00 am – 1.00 pm
- Applicant with foreign marriage certificates has to register for the Malaysian Marriage Certificate in any National Registration Department (JPN) in Malaysia or nearest Malaysian Embassies.
Application Procedures
- Both parties are required to be present during registration at the Embassy;
The marriage must be registered at the Embassy within the period of six months from the date of marriage. If registration is made after six months, a penalty of ~CFA15,000 will be charged for the first year and ~CFA7,500 for each subsequent year.
- The fees : ~CFA5,000
- Required documents for Marriage Registration:
- Application form (Borang JPN.KC 06);
- Two (2) copies of MyKad/ MyKid;
- Two (2) copies of the Passport;
- Two (2) copies of Senegal Visa or Resident Permit or Work Permit;
- Two (2) copies of Birth Certificate (need to be translated to English if necessary);
- Two (2) copies of the Senegalese Marriage Certificate (need to be translated to English if necessary);
- Three (3) recent passport-sized photographs (with white background).
BIRTH REGISTRATION (PENGESAHAN TARAF / BORANG H):
Conditions of Application
- Registration must be done within one year from the date of birth of child;
- Father of the child has to be Malaysian citizen for Borang H application;
If the father is not Malaysian / Application for the children above one year, Pengesahan Taraf Warganegara (PTW) will be submitted for the citizenship application and it is subject to approval by JPN.
- Child must be present during registration for attestation of baby’s thumbprint;
- Parents are legally married and obtained Malaysian marriage certificate issued by the JPN;
- Submission of application:
Monday – Friday : 9.00 am – 1.00 pm
Application Procedures
- Required documents for Birth Registration:
- Application form (Borang D);
- Two (2) copies of the parents MyKad/ MyKid;
- Two (2) copies of the parents' Passport;
- Two (2) copies of the parents' Senegal Visa or Resident Permit or Work Permit;
- Two (2) copies of the child's Birth Certificate – issued by the hospital or Senegalese Authority (need to be translated to English if necessary);
- Two (2) copies of the parents' Marriage Certificate;
- Four (4) recent passport-sized photographs (with white background).
- Original documents must be presented during the application.
- Parent's birth certificate/documents (foreign language) must be translated into English and duly endorsed by the respective High Commission / Embassy / Consulate / Notary Public.
- The fees : ~CFA7,500 (PTW) or ~CFA5,000 (Borang H).
