11th SESSION OF THE ISLAMIC SUMMIT CONFERENCE (OIC), 8 ~ 14 MARCH 2008

Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Abdul Hamid Pawanteh, President of the Senate (representing YAB Prime Minister) headed the Malaysian delegation to the OIC Summit in Dakar to hand over the chairmanship baton to President Abdoulaye Wade, President of Senegal.  The Malaysian delegation comprising senior officials from Wisma Putra, Research Department Prime Minister Office (JPM), Ministry of Science & Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and media delegation from Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), Bernama and the New Straits Times (NST).  The OIC Summit started on the 8 March with Senior Official Meeting followed by the Ministerial Meeting on the 10 March.  The Summit started on the 13 March 2008.
